When I use FordEtis I receive a 'timed out' message.

Note:This maybe caused by an issue with the load balancing on the FordEtis servers. If slow response persists after 10 minutes please carry out the Benchmark checks detailed below.

  1. Go to the FordEtis Help tab, then select 'Troubleshooting' then 'Performance'
  2. Follow the Benchmark tests which give acceptable performance figures for 3 types of connection (iPass and VPN Client - Modem, ISDN and ADSL - Broadband.)
  3. Repeat the tests at several different times during the day as response times may vary during to the load on the servers.
  4. If the response times are consistently poor and your hardware meets the minimum specification set by Ford (See Help, Troubleshooting, Minimum Hardware and Software Specification), carry out the second set of tests listed - Ping and Traceroute.
  5. If the results of these tests are poor note the results obtained and contact your Dealer Service Provider (DSP) as detailed in the Performance Help
